Your Hearing Health Matters

Is It Time for a Hearing Test?

Who Should Get Tested?
What to Expect During Your Appointment
Your hearing test at Haas Hearing usually takes about 30 minutes. During this time, we’ll walk you through each part of the process in plain, easy-to-understand language.
Depending on your needs, testing may include:
- Pure-tone audiometry: You’ll listen to tones at various pitches and volumes to map your hearing range.
- Tympanometry: This checks how well your eardrum responds to pressure and can detect middle ear problems.
- Acoustic reflex testing: Measures how your ear muscles respond to sound, helping us evaluate the hearing pathway.
- Real-ear measurements: Used during hearing aid fittings to ensure the device works properly in your ear.
- VRA (Visual Reinforcement Audiometry) and CPA (Conditioned Play Audiometry): Child-friendly tests for younger patients.
You’ll be seated in a sound-treated booth while we explain each step. There are no tricks or surprises, just straightforward information.
